Explore the creation of art by using the stark contrasts that arise in color, shape, touch, stories, sounds, metaphors, and other cosmic dimensions as we delve deep in the Polar Opposites theme.
Our ability to discern any difference starts with the ability to nuance experiences and amalgamate memory between the singular or the many. As the outermost limits of extreme differences manifest, do those opposites become closer to itself or its opposite? Are opposites ultimately intertwined as variations of themselves?
For this exhibition we are seeking artists to explores the use of opposing elements in the creation of their work. These elements may include visual contrasts in color or shape, thematic contrasts, or metaphorical opposites.
We welcome submissions from artists working in any medium, you do not have to be a member of Gallery X to participate! Interested artist may bring their artwork fitting the theme of Polar Opposites to Gallery X during regular gallery hours or by appointment from Wednesday, February 26 through Sunday, March 9.
