May the power and the wisdom of the ocean empower us and guide us in our collective fight for liberation.
We are looking for artists in New Bedford and the surrounding communities that are interested in showing their work at Gallery X this July. This show aims to explore the stories of our communities’ relationship with the ocean. Honoring her wisdom and power, we explore and celebrate the oceans presence in our lives; from the calm of a late night swim, to the clam boils and cookouts that bring us all together, the ocean does nothing short of healing our spirits and bringing us together.
All mediums welcome. This includes but is not limited to sculpture, video, illustration, painting and poetry. There is no cost to submit artwork or participate in this exhibition!
