Cultural Mosaic: A Celebration of Diversity
Gallery X is excited to announce an upcoming art exhibition that aims to showcase and celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity within the creative community of New Bedford. Artists of all backgrounds and identities are invited to submit their artwork for consideration in this special showcase.
Through this exhibition, we seek to represent the range of different cultures and backgrounds of the area and highlight the beauty and strength found in our diverse identities, cultures, and experiences. Whether through visual art, photography, sculpture, mixed media, or any other medium, we encourage artists to explore themes of inclusion, representation, cultural heritage, social justice, and the shared human experience.
Join with us in celebrating the beauty of diversity and the power of art to unite us all. Together, let’s create an inclusive space where every voice is heard, and every story is honored.
Submission Guidelines and Info
• This exhibition is open to artists of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
• Each artist may submit up to three pieces of artwork for consideration.
• Artwork should reflect the theme of diversity and inclusion.
• All mediums and artistic styles are welcome.
• Artwork must be original.
• Submissions must include a brief artist statement explaining how the artwork relates to the theme (100 words maximum, please also include a video recording of your artist statement).
• Gallery X will handle all sales and retain a 25% commission on any sale. Artists will be paid for work sold within one week of the show’s closing. Works do not have to be for sale to be included in the exhibition.
How to Submit
• There is no cost to submit work for consideration or inclusion in Cultural Mosaic.
• Please email digital images of your artwork (JPEG format) along with your artist statement to submissions@galleryx.org with the subject line: “Cultural Mosaic Exhibition Submission.”
• Include your name, contact information, title(s) of the artwork, medium, dimensions, and any special display requirements in your submission email.
*Space is limited, submission does not guarantee inclusion. Artists will be notified of inclusion by June 12.
• Selected artwork will be displayed prominently in the gallery space and promoted through various channels to maximize exposure and engagement with the community.
